Gharara flow, trouser practicality

A true gharara is fitted to the knee then flares sharply from a horizontal seam, and it needs to be cut to the floor to work. These flared pants borrow the volume and the sweep but keep a continuous line, so there is no seam to place and far less depends on your exact height. You get roughly eighty per cent of the effect with none of the stress.

The ombre dupatta

This is what lifts the outfit above a standard tonal three-piece. The organza shifts gradually from peach into a pale gold across its length, with four-sided embroidery framing it. Draped over one shoulder, the gradient sits against the solid peach shirt and creates depth that a matching dupatta simply cannot.
